Laying down words on a page. Sunday, May 10, 2015. I want to try them. A nice alternative to gluing, or doweling. The butterfly key joins two boards edge to edge. Do you think I can pull this off? An advantage is that I can remove the key later to disassemble the planks. And if I use a contrasting hardwood, it will look cool.

Since 2009, I have been teaching at the University of Groningen, in the Netherlands. I teach mainly Psychology courses, with an emphasis on Methodology and Perception. My research focuses on understanding how speech perception is affected in less than optimal conditions, because of hearing impairment, ageing, communicating in a non-native language, or external noise. The Epicurean was a column I wrote for the newspaper of the University of Groningen. Three years and more than 70 recipes on one page.

Blue Spruce Chisels, Nice Tray. Robert sent me these pictures of a nice chisel tray he got round to making for his set of Blue Spruce chisels.
